Tomorrow is the 10th edition of the ‘Open House’ day on Quebec farms. This activity will enable thousands of locals to visit agricultural facilities in all the regions of Quebec, free of charge.
On the menu: Sampling local products, visiting farms and their facilities, demonstrations, entertainment, games, etc. The event will take place, come rain or shine and it is a golden opportunity to learn more about agriculture and the people whose livelihood depends on it, in the 110-odd participating farms.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, farmers will congregate at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal exceptionally this year, where they will offer visitors a typical day on the farm: agricultural village, farm animals, giant corn roast, farm machinery, agricultural scenes, market gardening kiosks and regional product market, photo exhibition on the history of agriculture in Quebec, activities for children.
